The most important thing about testing season is my students knowing that they are so much more than any assessment makes them think they are.

Today I took a DEEP breath and started to let the students organize our classroom library. It can take a lot to let go of control but it is so empowering for kids to own this work. This system needs to work for THEM, not for me. #sd735learns

There’s no better way to start the day than with coffee and inclusive texts! Teachers are creating lists of books that will be purchased for their libraries. So excited that students will have access to books that are windows and mirrors in every grade in our district.
