The Minister of Education who kept students out of classrooms for more time than any other Minister in Ontario history because he wouldn’t make the investments to keep them safe somehow thinks strikes have caused children to miss 11 years of schooling. 🤦 #onted #onpoli

We are at the table ready to land a fair deal that invests more in lower income workers & keeps kids in class. It's time for CUPE to take yes for an answer & cancel the strike. These kids have endured enough of these strikes. 2,246 days out of class to be precise, since 1989.

We've made a decision. We're keeping Goodable in the Classroom free for any educator who wants it. Free for life. Nope, not even $8/month 🤣 Please help us spread the word and share with your educator friends.

Please note “can apply”. This isn’t blanket support This will not help low income families who children need supports. This will not help families whose caregivers are running between multiple precarious jobs. This isn’t catch up - this is bribery to their base

“Kids deserve the best professionals in their classrooms and in their schools, but education workers cannot be at our best if we’re exhausted, if we are forced to work second or third jobs, just to make ends meet.”~Walton #39000IsNotEnough #OntEd #OnPoli https://t.co/a8X1ARcQXz

CUPE workers, who, on average, earn $39,000, will be in schools next week and the union is committed to reaching an agreement, said union head.

“moving forward, we will be able to share with our stakeholders and community partners what exactly is happening and I think that is beneficial for everyone involved … workers are the unions and workers deserve to know what’s happening,” Walton said.

At @TLDSB with @Cupe997 packing the house to fight over 70 job cuts. The money is there so the jobs should be too! And if there was ever a question why We fight?! It’s for little ones like this who deserve the very best - not cuts & privatization supported by school boards & govt
