Quick reflections and brain dump of day four. Dear God; what sheer incompetence. To stand with the Kumar and Coates family has been an equal measure of heartbreak, solidarity and resilience. I so admire and love you all. For Grace. For Barney. For Ian.💚💛

And I repeat… An abhorrent police force. Failing the people of Nottingham. #nottinghaminquiry
NOTTS INQUIRY LATEST Cops "lost" bodyworn footage of Valdo Calocane when he was not sectioned because of disproportionate detention of black men A familiar refrain. Call records of night he killed are gone. CCTV of assault, just one month before attacks, also deleted by cops

The list of failures in this case keep adding up with each day that goes by. Absolutely horrifying stuff here…

Nothing we’ve heard yet has proven otherwise. With the worst yet to come. 😔

Day four. It’s the police and two victims up today. Responders involved in his early violent assaults. They will be public livestream. But first two of his victims. Brave young people who were lucky to escape this monster. They will rightly be a private stream. Shocking stuff

Thank you @GMB for giving us the time to speak. This fight (not campaign) is righting so many wrong by so many individuals and institutions; for Grace, Barney, Ian, the Survivors, and also all of those who have been and continue to be so grievously failed. #nottinghaminquiry
The mother of Barnaby Webber has described the public inquiry that began this week into the Nottingham Attacks as 'bruising and heartbreaking in equal measure'. Her son, Barnaby, 19-year-old Grace O’Malley-Kumar, and 65-year-old Ian Coates, all lost their lives in June 2023.

Witness 1. Update. Eleanor Turner Head of Mental Health at UoN. Permission was given for this witness to not be live streamed. However the public transcript of the full interview will be shared online at the end of the day. It would not be appropriate for me to make comment.

Ok. ❗️ This witness is not being live-streamed. Special measure agreed by the Chair. I cannot comment any further as to why at this point; but I will be asking why.
