They're two different characters, and the importance of their parents to their heroism are even more different, but it is pretty interesting that people aren't mad at The Batman for essentially the same idea. Then again, maybe they forgot like me 🤷‍♂️.

Just realized since I haven't seen The Batman in a hot minute (Primed for a rewatch thats fs) but yeah, wasn't it hinted at that even Bruce's parents were a little off? Yeah it was only hinted at, but it was pretty heavy hinting.

At the end of the day, I'm just happy that Superman invigorated the fanbase for DC. I talked to so many people every time I saw Superman afterwards in the theater, and every time, they either were new fans of the character, or proud fans of the character. And that's what matters.
