Coaches need to start taking sportsmanship more seriously. A 10th grade game finished 93-18. Yes, 93-18. The winning team pressed the entire game. An 8th grade game finished 58-24. The winning team pressed the entire game. Theres no place for that in youth sports. Shameful.

I’m not a parent, but I can imagine how difficult of a job it is, perhaps the most difficult job this world has to offer. I’m not a parent, but I am a teacher, a coach, and an official. Three jobs have give you a ton of perspective into the lives of young athletes.

I’m not big on individual accolades in team sports. But there’s something to be said when most of your roster is mentioned in post season articles. Great teams are the sum of their parts. There simply isn’t enough love to go around for these State Champs. Way to go girls!! 💚.
