Quite so!! The Sunoco 512 in 1971 never crashed or broke when I was at the wheel. Always in Marks hands, although all were just most unfortunate.

We were a bit unlucky there. I had a 4 Hr stint from 10am until 2pm, wet, dry, wet, so that Jean Pierre would finish. Hill and Pescarolo were leading in the new car we lay 2nd in a year old car for about 12 Hrs. G/box broke with 20 mins to go. Bummer.

Yet another birthday for an old broadcast pal. Bob Varsha has a birthday today. We spent nearly 20 yrs on the road together for ESPN and Speed Channel. All very enjoyable at the track and off. Happy birthday Bob & many happy returns.🎂🎂🍷.

Ken Squier who would have been 90 today was my first broadcast partner 49 years ago. He encouraged me to apply to CBS to partner him and was a great mentor for 19 years. RIP Ken old chap.

That weekend certainly cemented Verstappen as one of the greatest ever. Qualifying lap was sublime as was his faultless race, all with an underperforming car.

I have to say that James Hinchcliffe does a great Job with his F1 interviews. Great insight and very good questions. His IndyCar input is also excellent. Well done my boy.

The Green Flag really does miss @bobvarsha, @MrDavidHobbs and @MrSteveMatchett calling @F1 races. Those early morning broadcasts were like Christmas morning!

IndyCar on Fox ? Sounds good. Especially if you are an advertiser!! .Commercial breaks make it almost unwatchable. Will is doing a good job, has plenty of time to relax between commercials.

Skylight Music Theatre.(414) 291-7800. Anyone living within 50 miles of Milwaukee should go and see the musical, Oliver. Wonderful show and cast are marvelous. Beautiful small theatre.
