. Star Wars sequels missed the point on for that franchise - it's made a 43 year old guy feel just nostalgic enough that it "fits", but has made sure to reintroduce the characters in a fresh way to new audiences. I'm very, very excited to see how this plays out.

P.S., I LOVED the Cavill take, too - very early '00s comics style, coming out of the darker 90s into a "harder" feel for characters and their world. Hot take: you can like all Superman media without putting others down. Hot take 2: JG has done for Superman, what the. .

same with the late 80s era and it looks OUTSTANDING. I'm in for it. Everything about this movie looks, feels and sounds right: "You can move people" from Guy Gardener is the single biggest indicator that JG *really* gets it. Plus, Lex's motivations sound EXACTLY like the comics.

As someone DEEP into Superman lore, the Superman & Lois TV show was the finest, most comics accurate version I've seen of the characters, with a deep 90s draw from the source material; Superman: The Movie did the same with the Swan era; @JamesGunn looks to have done the.
