This is NOT the party I joined or campaigned tirelessly for in last years’ GE. I believe in core Labour values, it runs through my veins - but this? No way. This is worse than the Tories and many Labour activists would quite rightly call this out if it were….

On Saturday, I tweeted my disgust at Labour’s plans to attack the disabled. I got called “utterly childish” by other members of the party because I was responding to a leak. It’s becoming clearer by the day that this *will* become policy. My position stands. I am disgusted.

A proposal to create new unitary councils across Hampshire is to be discussed by councillors next week.  One of the options under discussion is for a new unitary council for Rushmoor, Hart and Basingstoke & Deane. Our Cabinet will consider a report + interim plan on 20 March.
