This week my kid thanked coaches after hockey evals. Each time she did it, a different dad said some form of “oh, she’s kissing up.” . Have we really arrived at this point? That raising a kid to show gratitude makes her out to be working an angle? . Let’s not be that adult.

I wanted a family dinner tonight. Of course my kids decided to make it themed. The 13 year old dressed up as the Lorax & told us repeatedly that she speaks for the trees. Teens are flippin’ funny.
