Completely agree with this! Many mentees take a good project to a great discovery level while few others just can’t drive a project with enthusiasm and dedication!.
Regardless of how skilled, knowledgeable, or passionate the mentor is, the success of the project also relies on the mentee who executes it well & works diligently. That ideal synergy produces extraordinary results, driving noteworthy publications & groundbreaking innovations.

Can’t agree more with this!.
Just a quick (but with wisdom) suggestion. Take it or throw it. Don't go for a postdoc abroad in a lab that is doing incremental science even if you are paid well. It's a trap and ur career is over. I saw many postdocs wanting to return, with CV, NOT better than our PhDs.
