New: Gov. Newsom’s Dept. of Finance notified CALeg it needs a $3.44 billion loan for Medi-Cal. Letter doesn’t say it, but state leaders expanded Medi-Cal last year to provide health insurance to undocumented people. The administration underestimated how much that would cost.

UPDATE 🚨: I’ve passed multiple homes where it appears the gas lines are still on and fueling the local fires. In talking with residents they have been reaching out to department of gas saying to please turn off their gas lines as it’s making things worse.

It’s important to remember that the city of Los Angeles fired first responders to include firefighters in recent years for failing to comply to mandate’s. LA Mayor Bass also cut LAFD budget by millions. I covered their stories in 21/22 👇🏼
