On 7th of July 1799 Lahore fell to Ranjit Singh. By the time he died his empire stretched from Kashmir to Multan. From the edges of Sutlej to Peshawar and beyond. Sadly within 10 years East India Company mainly assistance from Lahore traders defeated his successors. #Lahore

The role of traders is rarely investigated in the history of Sub Continent. From Jagat Seth's who patronised East India Company culminating in to the Battle of Plassey in Benyal to Arain traders of Lahore who brought Ranjit Singh to get rid of Bhangis rule. #History

Wazir Khanam is portrayed as the mother of Nawab Mirza Khan "Daagh" Dehlvi. The narrative establishes that Daagh was born from Wazir Khanam's relationship with Nawab Shamsuddin Ahmed Khan of Loharu/Ferozepur Jhirka.

Surma is sometimes used for its supposed medicinal properties, such as improving eyesight and protecting the eyes from infections. A personal memory is that my mom used to put "Dool" or Surma in my eyes and also tattoos on my cheeks and forehead to avoid evil eyes.
