If you can’t lead with love and compassion you can’t lead. If you can’t coach without screaming at/degrading your athletes, you can’t coach.If you don’t believe mental health affects your athletes you’re apart of the problem. Get out and make room for a new generation of coaches.

I think the mistake that a lot of people make in life is using role models as role molds. You're not meant to emulate anybody's life with exactitude; you're meant to create the life that's right for you. And, that life should absolutely look different than anybody you look up to.

Out of 148 1A XC teams in the state, I wouldn’t call a State Runner Up season completion with a less than 20 pt difference “falling short”. These girls had an amazing season and have much to be proud of.
