The route is 2.5kms, so the parkrun would be in 2 laps. Fast runners would overtake slower groups and might trample through plants. This photo shows part of the Common near Croydon Road, where last year a family of kestrels was observed. Is Mitcham Common suitable for parkrun?

Tomorrow, Wednesday 22 January, London Universities and Colleges Athletics (LUCA) will be holding their annual run on Mitcham Common. The circuit will be on that part of the Common east of Windmill Road and between Commonside East and Croydon Road.
