Fun colors render.
If you are interested, I am planning out the steps to get 100 prototype units made. These will have injection molded buttons (already done), and will be fully wired controllers with nylon shells.

Slight shell revisions to help some issues with triggers. L and R are slightly pressed "in" more. Less travel feels a lot better. New trigger stops to make a solid press feel more solid. Metal gate is just for fun to try it out.
Happy to announce that new, high quality cables for USB type C to GameCube are on the way.
- Aluminum molded USB C connector
- Shielded and braided cable
- Nice little velcro strap included
- 1.8m length
Here's a sneak peek from production. Only from HandHeldLegend very soon™️
Tomorrow, up for sale
$30
First come, first serve
Limited quality available
This is a test unit that is fully featured with rumble, XInput, Switch, Slippi support (1000hz)
Calling this ProGCC 3.1
- Full HD Rumble Support
- Supports both wired and bluetooth board configurations (We could offer wired-only kits using the same PCB, with a modified BOM)
- Supports Lipo battery operation
- HD rumble connectors for easy assembly
Today marks the release of OpenController. This is a diy kit to build your own controller featuring wireless Bluetooth connectivity, USB, and more. This controller works with SNES and GameCube, and N64.

Also for vendors, if you need a restock of snapback modules I have many in stock
Next step-- I've ordered mechanical samples as 3d prints. This will help to verify the fit and design of the 3d components and the PCB shape before moving on to more complicated steps... PCB routing and injection molding.
Started working on my own take on a GC controller over the weekend. Based around scans provided by Wesk at Bitbuilt, with a lot of time spent in Fusion 360 :)

I'm working on a single port GameCube controller adapter. The idea is a low cost adapter that you can take with you to tournaments. No more dealing with tournaments not having OEM adapters! Open source software and config

🧵Here's a lesser known fact about GameCube controllers and why so many third party controllers feel AWFUL. The joystick uses 8 bit numbers for the analog sticks, one for each axis and one for each analog trigger. This means there is a possible range of 0-255;
Feature list
- Replaceable gate
- Compatibility w/ NES, SNES, N64, GameCube
- Gyro
- Modern hall sticks with L3/R3 click
- Dual Z
- Analog triggers
- Classic feel
- RGB under analog sticks (may change)
- Full remapping with app
- Upgradeable firmware
- Open source shell/buttons
SuperGamepad+ is sorta the next iteration of gamepad I've been wrapping up. It has full LED customization to make it exactly how you want. Has the feel of an OEM SNES gamepad with options for clicky or original triggers.
Any melee nerds know why this is a thing?
This seems to happen with quite some regularity for me, where I hit a 9, then SD, then my next hammer is also a 9 lol. Feels extremely cheap, but it has worked for me several times now.
Wanting to print Ergo triggers?
Filled and hollow models provided to make printing simpler.
Open source models are up:
Thanks to
@yaboimikey97
for providing his STL files which were used to inspire the ergonomic curves on these models.
How about Pro Controller upgrades? There's some cool stuff about the analog sticks that haven't been discussed.
How about pressure sensitive edges? Imagine you are full tilt, but you can press *harder* to get more movement!
Preliminary quotes are in for GC Ultimate
Prototype run tentative pricing will be between $75-90 pre-shipping.
Note this is only production cost for a small run and includes
Shell
Screws/Springs
PBT Buttons/Triggers
Membranes
PCBs
Rumble
Round/Octagon gate plate
With the lovely help of ReSwitched community members we were able to get gyro working with the new mode 2 setting. This feels even smoother than the current implementation and I will be dropping this update as soon as possible!
Something I'm still not super confident in, the triggers wiggle a bit, but apparently original do as well. I'm not sure if the original design is even inherently good, or to what degree I should drive myself crazy trying to perfect something if it's just not going to get there.
Work log for today
- Internal supports for ABXY done
- supports for start done
- second 'start' button is designed to have a nice tactile switch underneath :)
- Dpad supports done
A bit more ways to go.

This is unconfirmed currently, but I will say that I will be prototyping with motion controls for ProGCC 3. Why? Splatoon competitive players have not really gotten any love, and they deserve a great controller, too.
Injection molded ergo triggers in the flesh! Feels incredible.
To do from the factory
- Work out surface finish issues with X, Y and B buttons
- Verify Z button for right side
- Verify trigger for right side
- Verify start button
SuperGamepad+ is at a stage where I'm comfortable saying it will be released sometime by January.
Features
- Bluetooth and USB
- RGB customizable
- Full remapping
- NES, SNES, GameCube, N64 support
- XInput support (USB and Bluetooth)
- Nintendo Switch support
Got the test prints in from JLC (No access to printer at home). Everything fits perfectly. Dpad feels better than OEM. Ergo triggers feel great, made updates to github.
Anyone up to try a test print of the new models?
New idea, slider rails. Gonna get some printed and see how it feels.
The rails interlock with the rumble bracket and will prevent the trigger from exceeding 1 degree in either direction
New ProGCC 3 software update:
Sub-notch calibration for the sweatiest smashers
Got specialized angles you have carved into your analog gates? fine-tune them with the new update available now.
I will be vending at

Stuff I'm planning on offering
- ProGCC 3 conversions
- ProGCC 3 prebuilts
- GCC PBT button sets
- GCC Snapback mod
- GC Pocket+ pre-builts
- Friendly conversation
(Maybe sneak peek of ProGCC 3+ and GC Ultimate)
Come say whaddup next month
ProGCC 3+ prototype units (100 kits) are now in our care.
After verifying the units, we will be sending out emails to purchase.
Thank you all
Pic unrelated
ProGCC 3 update is live in the app!
- New delay-less snapback filter (Thanks to kensen on Discord)
- Set default boot mode from the app
- Adjust deadzones on both sticks
- Adjustments to the rumble settings
I have also done a full refactoring of the config app. Enjoy!
Idea-- USB-C connector installs in place with screws and is held with pressure against some pogo pins. This allows for quick and cheap swapping of the USB-C port without any soldering or cables :)
