This new post has Tyler Johnson and Brandon Smith both on the practice squad. Sounds like Mougey is GMing chess, not checkers. More #jets shuffling to follow for sure now!.

Maybe Brandon Smith was the #Jets plan all along. They now can cut Max Mitchell with the new OT Pole there. They can still cut Clemons with McGregor there and Watts on the PS. Let's see how it shakes out. .

If there are no consequences by the NFL to punish athletes and teams for illegal activity, then don't act like they want the behavior to stop. Bottom line - if athletes were suspended without pay pending investigations, things would change. I'm not saying that's w/o problems bc.
@AdamSchefter So he won’t be suspended at the beginning, like virtually every other scenario, ever. Instead, the suspension will come AFTER the Chiefs play the tougher teams and BEFORE the Chiefs play their easiest 4-game stretch of the season? Can the NFL at least attempt to look neutral?.

There is a belief that the physical capabilities of pro athletes protects them from the vulnerability of being victims. Not true! Celebrity stalkers are notoriously undeterred. Athletes need support in these situations. Great article @nathanfenno

Though most stalking victims are women, the issue remains deeply problematic for all athletes.

When I was younger, I tried to convince myself I don't care what others think of me. It's macho nonsense. That's never true. BUT, we can learn to focus on whose opinions matter and not let everyone else's opinions dictate your opinions of yourself. Good for Justin's maturing!.
#Jets QB Justin Fields says that he had to learn how to block out the outside noise & that it only happened over the past 6 months:. "I used to let opinions kinda shape my opinion, but I'm glad that I've grown out of that, & I'm glad that the only approval I need now is from my

Mental health symptoms are often protective. PTSD symptoms are your mind trying to do exposure therapy & make a narrative. Disordered eating may be to regain control. Understand the why gives compassion to those struggling. Thanks @BeccaLeeRDCSSD & Riley Nickols for the platform!.

Normally, I'm supportive of athletes getting every dime they're worth, but now the argument is, even if I get arrested and violate personal conduct policies, I should still get paid? Um, no. Sports need accountability, and this is especially true at the professional level.
#Bengals owner Mike Brown explaining the Shemar Stewart contract language situation:. “If we get a player who does something unacceptable, guess what? I don’t want to pay him. I really don’t. If he’s sitting in jail, I don’t think I have to pay him.”

Especially for New Yorkers, we were very spoiled in the early 2000s by #DerekJeter and #DavidWright . As much as the Yankees and Mets having good teams, rarely did you see star players who ALWAYS said the right thing. Never said a bad word about a teammate. True role models.

Tell me in a perfect world how you think teams should handle these types of issues.

I love this that Lindor said. I'm not motivated, I'm disciplined. Motivation comes and goes. It is why I don't believe in momentum. Games swing in either direction. When confidence remains high (like when disciplined), you take advantage of the opportunity when it presents. #Mets.
most profound thing I’ve heard an athlete say in a long time and he just says it casually at an all-star game availability lol.
