A child in my class has carried their comfort dog toy everywhere for the past 2 years. It is an extension of him. Said dog was in class photos, on the house point chart and even had his own tray. Yesterday, that child gifted me my very own Dodo and I cried a thousand tears. ❤️

My highest need child listened to the Y6 leavers song today… Child: Why aren’t they saying Miss Ward’s name? 1:1: Miss Ward teaches in KS1 so they’re just saying Y6 teachers. *heard lyric about changing lives* Child: But she has changed my life, they should sing her name.

We had an amazing day at @YorkshireWP yesterday 🦁🐍☀️ The workshop was fantastic & the children were full of knowledge. Behaviour & attitude was exemplary, as always! Their little legs walked about 7 miles in total yet not one of them complained ⭐️ @PrimaryWestern

It's the penultimate day of #VolunteersWeek2024! Our events this year have been a huge success, but this is due to so many people volunteering to speak at them! We are so thankful and could not have done it without you! 👏

As a phase leader, something that gives me immense pride is when we can show that a collaborative decision made between me and my team is working. We stripped our writing curriculum back in Y1 to solely deepen their understanding of sentence structure. This is the outcome… ⭐️
