Conformity*. But you get me though?! Each carnival carries its own vibrant soul—distinct in rhythm, history and cultural expression. It's bad enough that Antiguan (Benna) and Bajan Soca music is barely played in other carnivals or fetes unless it's "throwback" so Stop yuh noise.

As someone of both Antiguan and Bajan heritage, I found this comment disappointing. Each carnival is uniquely rich -born from resistance, not rivalry. By comparing them divisively, you're echoing the very colonial tactics carnival was created to defy.Unity doesn’t need comformity.

I used to feel like Crop Over was a way to cater to WE. Like wunna gaw know, when yuh get dung hey, it's pace, we ting and come to enjoy Bajanisms. Now from what I see it's catering to others and our tings like our music/artists get a lil drop, a lil sprinkle. It's very sad.
