PSA for all soon-to-be kindergarten parents... Practice eating “school lunch” with your kiddo. Make sure they can open everything you send with them. Set a timer for 15 minutes and talk about how they may not finish eating and that’s ok. Their teacher will ❤️ you for it!

Teaching kids content is so important but never as critical as teaching them to be good humans who can live good lives. And the most fundamental thing to being able to live good lives will never be Math/ELA/Science; it’ll always be their connections to each other. #LoveWorks

I am wearing an ankle length cardigan at school today & my favorite kiddo just came up behind me, picked it up from the back & yelled “miss Turkovich !!!! You look dope with this cape on today!!!! My favorite superhero!!!” I am in love.

I don’t go on twitter much lately because of work but seeing what all the kids in my old classrooms are experiencing makes me too excited for this to become my career! Can’t wait until I get to be in a classroom all year long!!

So sad I missed this! I’m sure the kids absolutely loved it!! Amazing to watch them grow from tadpoles to frogs 🐸
So much hands on learning this week in our “pond”! We watched the black tadpoles last week get back legs this week and slowly get front legs 2 days later. This morning, huge new changes with gills turning to lungs! Our babies are breathing air! Ready to release! #inquiryscience
