Your #EmotionalIntelligence Question Of The Day: Q: Are empathetic people "too soft"? A: Empathy does not mean โ€œpermissiveโ€ or โ€œpassive.โ€ In fact, someone who is highly empathetic will often communicate โ€œhard thingsโ€ in a way that the person can hear.

Gentle acceptance. We can't control every situation, and struggling with the emotions that come with tough times, makes us feel worse. When we gently accept it's beyond our control, we grant ourselves the freedom to move beyond it. Acceptance is the pre-requisite for change.
