At the end of my third week on placement, I'm so happy to say I've taught four lessons by myself! The feedback was better than I could ever have dreamed and I feel so attached to my class. I'm entering the best profession in the world. Can't wait to teach four lessons this week!
Day 1 of my PGCE tomorrow! Starting with a home-based placement this week, then moving down to Cambridge next weekend. It's becoming real now; I'm a trainee teacher as of tomorrow!
Tomorrow I'm embarking on my final term as a trainee teacher! 🥹
I'm so grateful for the support I've received, the growth I've experienced, and the sense of self-worth I've gained.
Ready to make every moment count, cherish my time with the little ones, and finish strong 💪🥰
Today I:
✔️ Taught Read Write Inc Phonics for the first time
✔️ Taught R.E. for the first time
✔️ Finished writing my first ever medium-term plan
Each day, I hit new milestones and do something brand new for the first time which is one of many reasons why teaching is so special.
Hi teacher twitter 👋 Delighted to share that I'm starting my PGCE in Primary Education at
@Cambridge_Uni
next week! I can't wait to continue working towards my dream career. I equally can't wait to be part of this community!

Independently spoke to a parent after school for the first time today! 🙌
I'm starting to want to build relationships with my children's grown ups. Relationships completely underpin my educational philosophy, and I'm pleased to be strengthening my bonds every day.
Thought it'd be quite nice as I only have six weeks left as a teacher trainee if I posted a weekly motivation for the remainder of my placement. Here's this week's...
Equality = giving everyone the same thing
Equity = giving everyone what they need to flourish
Equity is about allocating resources and opportunities based on the unique needs and circumstances of each student.

Today I taught a successful Maths lesson and a successful History lesson! 🙌
We were learning about partitioning in Maths, and the Great Fire of London in History 🔥
One of my Year 2s knew when and where the fire started before I'd even said anything! 🤣 I'm so proud!

I taught Art successfully for the second time today, whilst being observed by my Lead Mentor who's a fabulous teacher. I was so nervous but she told me it was an amazing lesson! No exaggeration to say I have a newfound love for Art; a life-changing discovery 🥰
Very happy that I've taught seven lessons by myself this week, including leading all English sessions!
Some things that I'd do differently next time, and some targets to work on, but overall, I couldn't be happier with my feedback. Feeling proud of myself and my growth mindset!
This week I was told that my passion is a credit to the teaching profession! The best compliment I could've been given and happy that this is featured in my placement two report. My passion is what drives me every single day ❤️
I'm so delighted that I taught three full days this week! A massive step up and one that I'm told I coped with very well! Super grateful for the positive feedback which I truly cherish.
So happy to have completed my first fortnight on placement with year 6! Isn't it just incredible how much you can learn and grow in a fortnight? My class are so special and my rapport with them is amazing. So excited for my future as a teacher 🥹🥰

I went back to school today only to find this waiting for me on the desk...
I was at uni on the last day of Spring term so the lovelies took it to their regular class teacher and asked her to give it to me on my first day back. Is there anything sweeter? 🥰🐣
Happy to have started taking responsibility for morning work, working walls, visual timetables, and continuing to lead all transitions 🙌 I feel myself making progress every day. 💪

Belated sharing of my gifts from the end of my second placement last week... Words and messages that I'll cherish forever, both from the children and from colleagues. Speechless... ❤️
Happy that I led and planned Maths this week. All went really well and I'm so proud of the progress my class are making! This has done wonders for my development in lesson planning and as a teacher in general. Feeling positive and more confident!
Morning teacher twitter 👋 Delighted that at the end of my second placement, I've experienced five full days of teaching! The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Feeling so touched and eternally grateful 🥳
Today's highlight: Child comes up to me at end of maths lesson and says "Miss Hadley, I just wanted to tell you that I love your really pretty dress today". So cute 🥹🥰
Oh my goodness, I can't believe we're into May already! I only have four weeks left on placement. Hope there's a lovely month in store for everyone 🤞☀️ xx
I'm sure going to miss wearing all of these around my neck! Reminiscing and simultaneously looking forward to seeing my new lanyard/school badge in 14 days!

Amazing day in a secondary school setting today! Took me back to my roots of originally aspiring to be a secondary school maths teacher! Fantastic to talk to some year 7s about their experience of the primary to secondary transition.
After struggling for the past three days to grasp my name, today a child spelt it out with some felt letters. They tapped me on the shoulder, pointed at the letters, and smiled. A beautiful moment. This is success. The smallest things take up the most room in your heart ❤️
Happy to say I've taught Maths all week with very positive feedback! The children are responding well to me and I'm so proud when I mark their books, it's so gratifying!
Today's highlight: A child brought me some fresh flowers from outside on the playground, came up to me, held out her little palms with the flowers in, and said, "Miss Hadley, these are for you!" 🌸
Had a really successful day on placement with year 4 today! Their energy and enthusiasm has totally rubbed off on me. I can't believe what a rewarding profession I'm entering. Feeling so grateful and look forward to working with year 2 tomorrow!
I've submitted my final, and 49th assignment after being at uni for five years! 🙌
I didn't think this would make me emotional, but it's a reminder of everything I've achieved. I've achieved what I once thought I couldn't, and gained so much unexpected self-love in the process.
I can't believe I've done my first term as Miss Hadley! Such an emotional milestone I've reached and one full of memories that I'll cherish in my heart forever. I hope I'm ready for all that 2024 will bring... 🥰

Today I went into reception... had the little cuties holding my hand, attempting to climb into my lap, wanting me to read them stories, play with them... a lovely, wholesome day! 🥰
Today I had a very important reminder that we need to be pushed out of our comfort zones... that's what challenges us, but it's also how we grow, how we develop and how we learn. I think it can be a beautiful thing if we dare to take the leap.
16/3/23. On this day last year, I earned and accepted my place at

. Little did I know it would change my life for the better. Privileged to be teacher training at

Not teaching related but I'm delighted to be hosting a webinar on Tuesday!
Too often, students who are the first in their family to attend university aren't shown how to use networking platforms to their advantage.
This is my part in catalysing change.

It's now Day 4 of Walk for Autism. I'm currently at 30% of the overall fundraising target. Any retweets, support, and/or contributions would mean the world. Thank you, I'm so pleased to be doing this for the beautiful autistic children I have the privilege of working with 🤍
Wanting to shine a spotlight on the beauty, richness, & importance of BSL. Too often, deaf children are marginalised, their potential overlooked, & their voices silenced. All year round we can advocate & champion inclusivity. Proud to be a BSL learner & part of the community 💙

Absolutely gutted I won't be waking up and teaching my lovely year 3/4 tomorrow. I was privileged to have been at the same school for placements one and two. I know it's the weekend but I've done nothing but think about my cuties 😢💔
Really happy to have had a PSHE conference yesterday. I'm very passionate about this subject. I got to watch financial education being taught which is sadly a rarity since it's not statutory yet is a fundamental life skill.
@A14nThompson
Thank you so much for your support. There have definitely been ups and downs. I have a tendency to struggle being vulnerable about the lows but overall having a really positive experience so far. Really grateful for your ongoing support, thank you 🙏😊
