TROPICAL UPDATE// Tropical Storm Jerry is forecast to become a hurricane BUT will stay well off the coast and out to sea. That's good news. Some rip currents possible over the weekend and early next week.

FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY: A "Lake Wind Advisory" remains in effect for Berkeley, Orangeburg and Clarendon Counties through at least Friday. Across the entire Lowcountry, wind gusts could occasionally exceed 30 MPH with an isolated stronger gust possible near bodies of water. #SCWX

Many areas of Myrtle Ave have flooding due to NE winds & King Tide. High tide about now and should be receding within the hour.

FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY (9:30 AM) - Light to moderate rainfall continues along the Lowcountry coast as we approach high tide! Moderate tidal flooding is ongoing in Downtown Charleston and surrounding coastal areas; make sure to exercise caution if traveling. #SCWX #CHSWX

TROPICS: @NHC_Atlantic is investigating a strong, but non-tropical area low pressure (now designated as Invest #96L) in the far Northern Atlantic! Some subtropical development is possible this weekend before this system gets absorbed by the jet stream to its north. #Tropics #AL96

TROPICS: As of Thursday morning, Tropical Storm Jerry is undergoing slow strengthening as it continues to rush to the north and west! #Jerry is likely to become a hurricane by Friday once it begins its curve away from the Lesser Antilles. @Live5News #Tropics #TSJerry

FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAYS: The risk of significant tidal flooding and marine hazards will be greatest today and tomorrow as a cold front gives way to an offshore area of low pressure! Gusty winds and occasional rainfall are also expected through this weekend. @Live5News #SCWX

FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY: Significant coastal flooding is expected to occur with today and tomorrow's late morning high tides! As our front moves across the region, we're expecting a few more isolated showers and gusts of up to 35 MPH. #SCWX

FIRST ALERT// Coastal Flood Warning Issued // Coastal flooding can be expected on Thu morning & Fri morning to midday during high tide. Expect significant saltwater inundation with some roads impassable. High tide is 10:06 AM .. flooding may start several hours before.

FIRST ALERT: A strong, but non-tropical low is forecast to form along the end of this week's front! Although this system is expected to lift towards the Mid-Atlantic this weekend, we're still expecting significant impacts along the coast. #SCWX #NCWX

FUTURE TRACKER: Rain chances will increase by late evening (4 PM at the earliest) in advance of our strong cold front! Although most of our rainfall is expected to be light, we cannot rule out an isolated downpour or two around sunset. #SCWX

TROPICS: Jerry has strengthened a little as of late Wednesday morning - now with sustained winds of 60 MPH. Subtle shifts have been seen in the track, which now increases the confidence in a fast curve to the north away from the Lesser Antilles! #Tropics #TSJerry

FIRST ALERT: Very warm temperatures are expected today ahead of our next front! Behind our risk of morning coastal flooding, afternoon highs will span the mid 80s for most. Rain and embedded thunderstorms will hold off until late this evening. #SCWX

TROPICS: As of Wednesday morning, Tropical Storm Jerry remains heavily impacted by wind shear as it races to the west! Indications still point towards a close approach to the northern Leeward Islands late this week, where Tropical Storm Watches remain in effect. #Tropics #Jerry

FIRST ALERT// Tropical Storm Jerry // Jerry is forecast to become a hurricane and possibly a category two. The good news is that it is forecast to move northwest then north away from the U.S. coast and stays out to sea. Model confidence is good for this track and we will watch

⚠️FIRST ALERT: Tropical Storm Jerry forms in Atlantic Tropical Storm Jerry becomes the 10th named storm of the hurricane season. Jerry is forecast to become a hurricane as it moves WNW over the next 48 hours. It looks likely that Jerry will not be a threat to the United States.

FIRST ALERT: New storm to develop soon! An area of low pressure is organizing over the open Atlantic and is expected to be our next tropical depression or storm(Jerry) soon. Models continue to show this curving away from the United States. We'll keep you updated!

⚠️FIRST ALERT: NEXT STORM UP It looks like we could have Tropical Storm Jerry by mid/late week. Thankfully, all early indications show that this storm will most likely curve away from the US. It's too early to guarantee no impacts but that turn would be great news!
