This will be the first, and final, post on Tropical Storm Lorenzo! Lorenzo became the 12th named storm of the hurricane season Monday morning. It's located in the far Atlantic and won't be a threat to the US or Caribbean.

Significant coastal flooding is underway! Tide levels are now moving toward 8'(major flood stage) in the Charleston Harbor. The City of Charleston is reporting Hagood and Fishburne(typical flood prone area) is already closed. Other roads are likely to be closed soon.

FIRST ALERT: Flood stage is nearing in the Charleston Harbor as a Coastal Flood Warning is now in effect! The upcoming high tide will likely be about a half foot lower than Friday's high tide. Friday's tide was the 7th highest non-tropical tide recorded in Charleston.

FIRST ALERT: Coastal Flood Warning is now in effect! The previously issued Coastal Flood Advisory has been upgraded for Charleston and Coastal Colleton counties. Significant coastal flooding is expected again today around high tide(12:01 PM in the Charleston Harbor).
