I’m supposed to have a problem with this. In some theoretical aspect, I do. But I also understand how precarious the cartel situation is and I know that it will eventually lead to much worse things than this. I’m struggling to see a way out of direct military intervention.

It is interesting that you demand Ukrainians surrender and put down their weapons. Disarm themselves. Even though Ukraine never did anything to Russia. It never did anything like October 7th. Never did any Intifadas. Never terrorized Russia. It never did any of that.
Sam Harris says that if Palestinians "put down their weapons" there would be peace. But when Palestinians don't have weapons (Great March of Return, "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation") they are gunned down en masse. So this is false!
