I often hear complaints about the large amounts of money spent on homelessness. But every so-called homelessness line item can be traced back to a failure to appropriately address a different policy issue. It trickles down to a homelessness problem-and expense. 1/

Porta potties are being removed from homeless encampments across the city of #la. @mayorofla let the contract with the provider expire without securing an alternative. It is INHUMANE that unhoused folks do not have places to attend to basic human hygiene needs
