Our MS in PNAS is out. Here, we report a spatially coordinated mechanism at ER-PM CS where SYT1 transports diacylglycerol (DAG) from the PM to the endoplasmic reticulum, where it is subsequently phosphorylated by the interacting diacylglycerol kinases (DGK1/DGK2).
