Don’t we miss Grandstand? And Sportsnight too. BBC Sport’s coverage has been decimated in recent years. Too much has been lost to ‘pay to view’ channels (even the FA Cup draw now) . And the BBC should still show horse-racing. Please retweet if you agree.

I’m pleased, as with the opening ceremony to last year’s Paris Olympics, that I never watched a second of it. While they were a must-watch in days gone by, these opening ceremonies/big hullabaloo draws - like the Eurovision Song Contest too- are best avoided nowadays.
