WIT's AoT is overall better, but i would be lying to myself if i said WiT would've done the Rumbling arc better.
And the direction seems more stronger in s4 too, part 1 had some really strong episodes based off on direction alone, let alone part 2 which was 10/10 except for 2EPs

animators are free to speak up about the issues at mappa but I'm not sure if any animator would tell you to stop watching their works.
It shouldn't be hard to grasp that boycotting these shows isn't gonna do anything other than demotivate these animators.

writing is obviously subjective, but if anything makes you enjoy it, or makes you want to know more- the writing did the job that it intended to do. I think that's exactly what "well-written" is, to me.

even in comparison Aoki's work is really really strong. Also you're forgetting that Aoki animated on all the 12 episodes. He didn't have the luxury to just give all the time to one single sequence.
Oh and comparing anyone to Yutaka Nakamura is unfair
