Outside el-Fasher, verified videos show dozens of dead bodies in civilian clothing - some of whom appear to be women - lying in a trench along the sand berm made by the RSF. The devastation is visible from space.

Footage posted online suggested that paramilitary fighters intended to unleash violence against people in el-Fasher. Abu Lulu, one RSF fighter we identifed across graphic footage, posted a video saying, "If you do not surrender, we will end you and you will die like this."

Videos shared with us suggested that the RSF sought to impose an aid blockade. Footage shows a man with his hands and feet tied behind his back, hanging upside down from a tree with metal chains. The man filming accused him of trying to smuggle supplies into the besieged city.

Yale analysts also accused the RSF of "conducting clean-up of their alleged mass atrocities". BBC Verify measured white shapes seen in the hospital courtyard on 30 Oct 1.6m-2m in length - similar to the height of an adult and consistent with a body in a burial shroud.

'Our job is only killing' - how Sudan's brutal militia carried out a massacre We investigated dozens of graphic videos, tracked fighters across social media and analysed satellite imagery. All of which point to a mass killing spree by the RSF. https://t.co/evQXQ6lAGy

@benedictgarman @emmapenggelly @andreas_krieg The IDF didn't address the allegations when approached by BBC Verify, stating simply that: "IDF troops under the Southern Command have begun marking the Yellow Line in the Gaza Strip to establish tactical clarity on the ground."

@benedictgarman @emmapenggelly Multiple experts suggested the blocks were intended to create a "buffer zone" between Palestinians and IDF troops. "This gives the IDF space to manoeuvre and create a 'kill zone' against potential targets" @andreas_krieg

Latest work from @benedictgarman @emmapenggelly Israeli troops have been marking the "yellow line" with physical blocks. But we found in some parts they’re hundreds of metres deeper inside the strip than Israel's own map released after the ceasefire deal.

@cog_ink @philleake91 A spokesperson said, SDS4, was shut down because it was no longer in IDF-controlled territory. Satellite imagery shows it was dismantled shortly after the ceasefire came into effect. Images show tyre tracks, disturbed earth and detritus strewn across the former compound.
