Mercy Health can not be more appreciative of young volunteers such as Riley Ford. As a student, Riley offered to lend a hand at Mercy Place Warrnambool, supporting residents and providing good company. Now 21, while still a volunteer, he's weighing up a career in aged care.

At Werribee Mercy Hospital, Gurwinder Singh and Manpreet Raju welcomed their newborn daughter Gurbani, three years after they arrived in Australia. Nine News was on hand to meet the family, who are part of a rapidly growing Indian community choosing to call Melbourne home.
