Lol during my surgery core, all the attendings would ask “why the hell do they have you here?” because we quite literally did nothing.
Insanity… nearly 50% of students never take call during 3rd year? We’re failing to educate an entire generation of physicians in graduated independence, time mgmt, fatigue and stress management during the period of training when they have the most protection/support! 🤦

You know what, I feel seen. My sub-I PD actually told me something along the lines of this. She said it was my superpower. And it felt really good for my introversion to be seen as a positive after being told otherwise all thru clerkships. I’m not changing who I am. 🤷🏾♀️
