Nothing is that always that urgent, and I’m not always available just because I have a phone etc. We grew up with landlines, answering machines, parents with pagers and cell phones with “minutes” and those ain’t start being free until 9pm. Also, it’s just a bunch of noise.

I want to be able to articulate exactly what I mean, but I can’t. The amount of information that’s shared about folks’ personal lives and even stuff that isn’t personal, but overly self involved - to be very draining. It’s unavoidable unless you ditch social media altogether.
