Wondering what level of hell is reserved for people who shovel snow onto their neighbor's fully shoveled sidewalk in order to clear a path to their car door 😤

Imagine if the city spent money proactively clearing sidewalks instead of paying compliance officers to go around issuing summonses! Imagine if property owners were able to opt into a city snow clearing program that they paid a modest fee for! Let's imagine a better world!

Look, I hate that sidewalk clearing is up to individual property owners. I have been reaching out to electeds for years asking for a municipal solution. But in the meantime 🗣️ CLEAR YOUR SIDEWALK. I just walked less than a block. Four properties totally uncleared = icy mess.
Okay Jersey City - snow fall is done! You're on the clock to clear your sidewalks! Businesses by 3:30pm and residents by 7:30pm. Don't let it ice over!! Path cleared must be at least 4 feet, and corner properties must clear curbcuts to corners.

Run-off elections are turnout games, so I was heartened by the number of people that I saw at my polling place at 7:10 - more than usual.

"Make eye contact" - okay how am I supposed to do this when half the cars have illegally tinted windows and windshields and I can't even see the drivers let alone make eye contact??

This video is dumb and dangerous, not cute. It places the responsibility for not getting hit on the pedestrian instead of on the driver to NOT HIT A PEDESTRIAN. In nearly all of those scenarios, the driver is 100% in the wrong. This is a trash PSA.

Forgive me if it feels hard to believe that the system is going to massively expand service over the next 2 years. They can't even manage the too-low level of service they're currently operating. 🙄

My 50-55 minute commute took 1 hour 40 minutes this evening. Good thing I left 30 extra minutes because then I was only 20 minutes late for class! Thanks @PATHTrain and @NJTRANSIT 🙄
The #1 bus is actually not cross-honoring because it is too crowded to let most of us on. Bus to Jersey City just pulled away with easily 30 people unable to get on. Next bus to JC isn't for another 30 minutes.
