Finally got around to watching #Indian2 on Netflix after I missed it in the cinema. Most powerful scene: where they chase away indian thaathaa with the #gobackindian hashtag. Never resonated more with anything in my LIFE. This movie is TERRIBLE 😭

I thought this too! Them not expositing too much about this relationship is a great example of how self-reflexivity in Tamil Cinema relies on audiences already having deep knowledge about past films and dynamics. Those of us who know/love Kaali and Valli can fill in the gaps <3

Absolutely shocking for this to be released at all let alone on the anniversary of the mullivaikkal massacre. Hurtful stuff.
We condemn content like this that misrepresent the Eelam Tamil struggle, while using non- Eelam Tamil women with brown/black face. The make & timing of this series is incredibly harmful as Eelam Tamils are mourning the anniversary of the genocide. #FamilyMan2_against_Tamils
