Yesterday I had a fantastic time with the @BigKidFoundation at their Community Day & Summer Reception- meeting young people, supporters & giving a short speech alongside inspiring voices from BIGKID & the Deputy Lieutenant for Lambeth.

I was delighted to attend the celebration of the Brockwell Hall Restoration Project, an event honouring all who contributed and the amazing Volunteers in Parks 🌳💚 Great to have Helen Hayes there to mark the occasion too!

The Mayor was proud to attend the First Give Final, where students pitched for a £1,000 for their chosen charity. The Mayor joined as a judge, helping decide which team–and charity– would receive the grant. A great day of youth-led action ,creativity, and community impact!

Yesterday I was delighted to attend a wonderful event celebrating children moving from preschool to primary school at Rainbow On The Hill. It was a joy to see their achievements recognised and to celebrate the strong partnership between parents, carers, and staff.

The Mayor of Lambeth was honored to join the congregation of St Luke’s West Norwood — alongside local MP Helen Hayes — to celebrate 200 years of faith, community, and service. A remarkable milestone for a church that continues to be at the heart of the community.

On July 7th, the Mayor attended the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the London bombings at St Paul’s Cathedral, in the presence of those involved and affected, government leaders, past and present, the Mayor of London, and Royalty.

On Sunday 6th July the Mayor attended the Friends of Brockwell Park tree dedication ceremony with Friends and donors

The Mayor was proud to attend the Award Ceremony celebrating the achievement of our newly Accredited Tour Guides! After 9 months of dedicated training, these individuals are now officially certified to showcase our local heritage. Congratulations to all! 👏

Great time at New Park Road Baptist Church’s Fun Day with Pastor Nathan McGuire, church members, and the local community — a wonderful celebration of togetherness and community spirit!

On July 3rd, the Mayor welcomed Bell Ribeiro-Addy MP and members of a Ghanaian parliamentary delegation to the Mayor’s Parlour for a warm and engaging visit.

The Mayor attended the “Step into Dance” event at Cadogan Hall where Lambeth’s Heron Academy  gave a heartwarming performance.

On Sunday, 29th June the Mayor attended the Clapham Street Party at the two Brewers, an important event.in the LGBT+ community’s calendar. A noisy, friendly and enjoyable evening. I got a very friendly reception and loved it!

The People’s Table: Food for Thought, Action, and Policy Was hosted by the Brazilian Embassy in partnership with UK and Brazilian organisations, including Brixton Soup Kitchen, Brixton Immortals, London Climate Action Week, and Ação da Cidadania.

I was honoured to officially open the new warehouse for Lambeth and Croydon Foodbank. It was a pleasure to meet the dedicated team, supporters, and partners who make this work.
