@Rae_Aveline not enough people know the difference between genAI and AI tools and it gets pretty annoying to see people pretend absolutely all of it is terrible

This is also the reason why some layered clothing causes a fuck ton of lag when spam-equipping tools. Anytime the character is deemed to be invalidated by the fast cluster system, it queues up a run of the layered clothing calculations again.

As for how they do it in a reasonable timeframe, they run it in a throttled background thread that is super optimized with SIMD intrinsics, and they also work out what parts of the cage are being modified instead of trying to morph every vertex.
