Great thread @AndreBothmaTax 🙏🏾 Am in this position right now & it’s come at a hefty cost😔 You have to be up to date with returns on both sides before you can deregister & SARS charges daily penalty for late submission, even if it’s a zero return. Wouldn’t recommend Option 2.
How to deregister a company on CIPC : Option 1: Do all the steps, in order in this thread Option 2: And I'm not kidding; do nothing. CIPC will (or should) flag the entity for deregistration if it doesn't file annual returns for two years.
