Heat pump installers: if you've fitted a heat pump outside of permitted development via a planning authority, did the authority allow the use of the MCS noise procedure or did they require a full noise assessment? thx

My p2 story in @FT today: @HistoricEngland will encourage heat pumps, solar panels and insulation for some of the oldest homes in Europe. The move should help councils make and residents get, more approvals as the new government provides 'certainty' on climate strategy 1/3

I've heard repeatedly that new members of parliament are being lobbied by the gas industry on hydrogen for heating which we all know is a terrible idea. Here are the facts about hydrogen, the reasons for the lobbying and what we must do - to a drum and bass soundtrack. 🕺🕺

Does anyone know if it is actually a legal 'requirement' to let the DNO know if a heat pump is being fitted? ENA says it is, but I can't see anything that actually means it is, in regulatory documents.
