Lots of interesting history days out over the summer holidays. Lots of stories and photos I could use in history lessons this year. Not many stories as incredible as those told in the @LordAshcroft gallery at IWM. So glad I got down there before they're removed.

I scored my first ever 11 a side goal the weekend after he passed, and I'll always have a feeling he helped guide it in as it trickled over the line up at Christ's while playing for the Shed FC.

He gave myself and many other lads our first opportunity to play 11 a side and men's football back in the day. Will forever be grateful to this wonderful bloke.
