The mini-police were without doubt the stars of the show! Two amazing young people and great to have this facility open for us in Devonport.

The success last night was amazing, but work continues today. Officers, staff and volunteers are in on days off and extended hours, to be right alongside communities as they get back to normal life. We’re visiting every house in the area just to ensure people are safe and sound.
I’ve met some very tearful and distraught people over the past few days and I’m so glad that their homes were saved from possible destruction. The services who worked alongside us to make this happen have been incredible. #teamwork #cooperation #trust #respect

Work continues today to deal with an unexplored WW2 device. It’s all about safety, minimising disruption where we can. Massive thanks to workers, volunteers and the community for how they are dealing with such a tough week.
The cordon around the major incident on St Michael Avenue will be extended from 200 metres to just over 300 metres from 9am on Thursday morning. Full details on streets affected and what residents should do here➡️
