The final specimen is now on public display in Maastricht, and looks amazing! A big shout out to Colijn Dijkers and the Naturalis team for their postcranial reconstruction. If you're in the Netherlands, I highly recommending going and seeing it! #FossilFriday #mosasaurs

With the digital reconstruction complete, I grouped the bones into sections, adding pegs and sockets to facilitate easy assembly after printing. The printing, assembly, and painting, were carried out by Naturalis and Inside Out Animals. #FossilFriday #mosasaurs #3Dprinting #b3d

Working with @dylan_bastiaans, I used @PRECISETHF's surface scan of the fossil as a base. Then using other mosasaurs specimens and literature for reference, I sculpted the individual skull bones, and posed them to create the full reconstruction. #FossilFriday #mosasaurs #b3d

DINOSAUR ALERT Dr Elsa @gsciencelady was walking along the shore of the island of Eigg when something caught her eye. She had stepped on a boulder, but there was something unusual buried in it. https://t.co/6oGVfcpV2L

Delighted to be co-author on this new paper led by my colleague Elis Newham, using a large dataset of cementum increments to explore the evolution of mammal life history. Looks like Jurassic crown #mammals were already living faster lives! #MesozoicMammals

I absolutely love Maija's illustration of the adult and juvenile Krusatodon! You should check out her other amazing work too.
Under the feet of dinosaurs, little mammals were living…. Surprisinlgy slowly. Commissioned by the amazing @gsciencelady for her new paper, this is mom Krusatodon and her perhaps-a-year-old pup. Today’s small mammals grow up in mere weeks, but back in the Jurassic they didn’t.

It's the culmination of five years' work, and I'm very proud of what we produced. The paper is here 👇, and I urge you to check out @gsciencelady's thread for the science behind it. If you like what I created, the studio is open for commissions! 6/6 https://t.co/oUyx9P5Fct
