As we increase defence spending in Canada, we should double down on our cadet programs - Air, Army and Sea. These programs pay incredible dividends in public service, national pride, and a deeper appreciation for the role of the military. @DavidMcGuinty - what do you think?

Simplicity is underrated. This is directionally great, but I don't understand the City's insistence on making everything more complicated than it needs to be. Revision: First 4 units are exempt from DCs on any multiunit development.
Big Housing News🚨🚨. Councillors @CllrJamaalMyers and @JoshMatlow have introduced a motion to the Planning and Housing Committee (PHC) that seeks to:. 1. Remove DCs for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th units in multplexes up to 6 units. Previously, there was a policy cliff where if you

Time to upload land use planning completely to the Province. Cities have proven themselves incapable of managing this responsibility.
lol Provincial regulation says no angular planes allowed for garden suites or laneway suites. So Toronto deleted the requirement (as they are required to do) and replaced it with new zoning that would do the same thing as angular planes.

Very predictable outcome and further proof that Ontario’s Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing doesn’t know what it’s doing.

It’s almost sad to think how much my peers and I would have benefited from the opportunity of school choice. The Ontario government needs to deliver this life changing opportunity to young people more than ever. #onpoli.

Another great piece by two Project Ontario contributors. Ontario’s government should finally tackle real choice in K-12 education.
The best reason Ontario should move towards an education policy that looks more like BC’s is that there are no good reasons not to. @GinnyRothTO and I make the case for ed pluralism in Ontario in @TheHubCanada (link below)

This poll means nothing more than. 1) Chow wins if more than 1 of Tory, Bradford, Bailao and Mendocino run. 2) Chow loses if only 1 of them does. Bailao & Mendocino should very publicly bow out now. Tory & Bradford should get into a ring - last man standing gets to run. Fwiw,.

Mark Carney is a subtle and polite symbol to Liberals that the last guy was an absolute moron. His entire policy agenda essentially amounts to undoing the damage of the last 10 yrs.
🚨Mark Carney announces drastic cuts to the public service equivalent to a Canadian Doge. Carney has asked Ministers to cut program spending by:.-7.5% in 2026.-10% in 2027.-15% in 2028. For a total of 32.5% from each ministry 💵.I hope he follows through with this

The problem with a Liberal government is rarely the intention - that’s usually positive. It’s the execution and the people charged with it - that’s usually negative.
Canada’s new government has launched a review of federal regulations — to cut the red tape holding back our economy. It’s time to make government processes more effective so we can build the strongest economy in the G7.
