What's more, I think it's frankly insulting to alienate trans people and then be upset that people have lines in the sand that they won't cross. Unity & solidarity goes both ways.
Class politics & solidarity unites across race, religion, gender & other differences that set us apart & have the potential to build a mass movement. Identity politics do nothing but tear apart and cause division. Unite around similarities stop pulling apart over differences.

Rights aren't a zero-sum game. This isn't poker. We need a positive, progressive alternative to the tepid centrist politics that have given the far right a way in. That alternative MUST include unequivocally standing up against transphobia.
I agree, women's rights and safe spaces should not be encroached upon. Safe third spaces should be an alternative option.

Fly-tipping, litter, and waste are an ongoing battle in our communities. But, we're taking action! Thanks to Cristiana and George for joining me in Cottingley this evening - we've been told about a hotspot for fly tipping, and we decided to do something about it.
