Schools are begging parents to āhold the lineā on elem kids getting cell phones and Iām genuinely confused about why itās even a fight. Childhood already only lasts like 7 seconds. Why the hell yall want to speed it up??? Thatās crazy to me

Teachers need to have presence. They need to take up space. This *can* be accomplished from a chair. At times. I saw mom do it for years. I do more of it myself as years add up. (& when I stand up - often for emphasis - it means something. I can see kids eyes get bigger. š)

An underrated skill is imagining what students *might* say in response to a prompt. When a class discussion fails, sometimes I look back and wonder why in the world I thought those questions would succeed.

This is football and life (teaching especially) The best āhang their hatā on certain class discussion moves, get *real* good at them. Donāt chase the shiny things. Are never rushed into stuff they arenāt prepared to talk about. They make thoughtful adjustments as needed. šÆ
The best offenses are built around a core set of foundational plays which you āhang your hat onā & branches out off those plays to counter how the defense takes away your fastball.
