Standing out in the pouring rain filming and recording frogs calling is one of my favourite things to do. Crucifix #Frog (Notaden bennettii) chorusing after flooding rains across southern-inland NSW last week. #floatywhoopwhoop #wildoz

It was all happening at this ephemeral pond in the rainforests of West Papua recently!. Heavy rain triggered Pinocchio Frogs and Black-dotted Tree Frogs to descend from the canopy in a breeding frenzy, attracting dozens of hungry Brown Tree Snakes and Keelbacks #herpingwestpapua

First #SwampSkink (Lissolepis coventryi) survey for the season (on our property) revealed this stunner! Using the markings on the head scales, I was quickly able to identify her as the first ever individual I caught on the property in December 2021. Great data and a great skink!
