My POV is this:. Even when you *don't* count the play-in tournament, the NBA gives 53% of its teams a chance to win its trophy (66.6% with play-in!). D1 MBB offers that playoff chance to *less than 19%* of its teams!. ESPECIALLY in a post-House world, a few more teams are fine.
A vote on NCAAT expansion is near. The biggest reason behind the push is "access." But that's a bogus selling point and I have the proof right here. One last clear-eyed case against messing with a beloved American treasure. Leave the tournament alone.
