What is complexity science? A complex system is collective (many body--meaning many interacting parts), coupled (what i do effects what you do), characterized by adaptation/ learning, feedback b/w scales, nonlinearities, nonstationarity +noise from erroneous perception or... 1/?

From a moral perspective, COVID is a little like climate change in fast forward. People calculating that it’s acceptable to pay for economic stability with millions of deaths can do so in part because those deaths are abstract and hypothetical. Quickly, they won’t be.
