However this line serves Kericho, Nyamira, Bomet, Kisii, Migori, Homa Bay etc. The demand yesterday when the line trip reached 149MW and yet the line capacity is 80MW.

Today was the last day for the “2022 Panel interviews” for Graduate Engineers who endeavor to be registered as Professional Engineers with the Engineers Baord of Kenya.
I arrived early and got a chance to fool around with my video and find a way to encourage all potential GEs.
Really excited to see a project from concept note, feasible study, resource mobilization, Wayleave acquisition, construction and now see commissioning coming soon.

This “depressions” is usually a big challenge since rain water from the road and the national park side stagnate at this point.
Talanta Stadium is taking good shape at foundation level.
However to better host the Afcon 2027, consider;
1. Additional road from Southern Bypass at outer edge of forest.

Should Kenya consider moving away from the month-long rigorous High School exams and instead give focus to University & College Entrance Exams. The entrance exams to be designed to understand the candidate’s knowledge in different subjects and their level of application?

Today at approximately 6.50pm we successfully energized the 220kV Kimuka substation.
The target is to energize the 220/66kV transformers tomorrow and the first set of 66kV feeders on Tuesday.
Kimuka will eventually supply power to Nairobi from Kikuyu to Matasia.

KETRACO has completed transmission lines to connect Kisumu, Narok and other load centers to the Olkaria Geothermal Power plants. The company is rolling out new transmission infrastructure to ensure that the load centers like Kericho, Homa Bay to Migori are also connected

Around May 2008 I worked on Marine Structures in Lamu Country. The two sites were Faza and Kizingitini approx 40-50km from Lamu town.
The Sea Wall in Faza was to protect areas of human habitation and activities from the action of tides & waves. 1/2

After tower erection is completed & insulators fixed, the contractor installs rollers on position. With a Puller on one end of section and a Tensioner on the other, - drum by drum the conductor is strung, fixed & clipped. Health & Safety is key since the section can be kms long

Today morning I had the great honor of signing the contract for the completion of the 69km 132kV Sondu (Thurdiboro) - Homa Bay (Ndhiwa) transmission line.
The transmission line will offer an alternative route to evacuate power to Homa Bay, Migori and Kisii Counties 1/2
If you are planning to go towards Kilifi from Mombasa; the depth of water just before Bomani is around 0.75m to 1m.

Concrete is strong in compression but relatively week in tension. An Engineer can either increase the size of the member to withstand the load or “post tension the concrete” to “reduce the part of the member under tension”. Post tensioning allows one to reduce the member size
The Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is a tunnel that doubles up as roadway for vehicles and a channel to get rid of storm water.
The resulting 9.7km tunnel has 2 functions: to reduce flash flooding in Kuala Lumpur and cut traffic jams at rush hour

loaded two 66kV feeders at the 220/66kV Kimuka substation. One going to Magadi and the other to Matasia. The total load immediately picked was about 18MW.
This immediately de-loaded 66kV feeders at Embakasi substation.
