β #OldGlenn UPDATE 2/18/2022 - The road closure on the OLD GLENN HIGHWAY between MP 7.6 - 8.5 will last overnight as avalanche crews assess the safety of the area and decide if mitigation is needed before the slide can be cleared.

AVALANCHE UPDATE ON OLD GLENN DOT is setting up traffic control on the south side of the avalanche area now. Borough road crew are working traffic control on the north side. We expect DOT to take full control of the area in the next hour. Please avoid the area

MatSu Borough has utilized WEA and EAS to initiate an evacuation notice to the Willow Creek and Deneki Road areas due to flooding. Notice was sent to the residents in these areas to call 911 to request assistance in evacuation, if needed. They need to provide their location.
