For reasons, I would usually be the last person to recommend any #Microsoft products, but if you're a GitHub shop, consider using #GitHubActions, it just feels so natural to execute tests, builds and deployments close to where your sources are being hosted.

Sometimes the intent of great quotes is lost over time; often, they are misinterpreted and misused because people apply them out of context.

(1/4) 🔔 A friendly reminder on Agile Principle #2 • We aren't perfect; • We cannot predict the future; and, • No matter how much we try, we can't think of everything. The truth is, we don't know for 100% what our customers' needs are or the best way to fill their needs.

Aprovechen el puente para ir al cine. Si van a ver #EsoQueTúMeDas genial. Pero si van a ver otra, pues también genial. Apoyemos a las salas. A los cines. El día que cierren nos lamentaremos. Impidámoslo. #LaCulturaEsSegura

Are you still using legacy #Java classes like StringBuffer, whose methods are synchronized, despite typically not being shared across threads? Then *now* would be a great time to move off of them to more modern alternatives: Biased Locking is deprecated in JDK 15,...

💡 Here's an interesting "behind-the-curtain" read by @abreslav on Kotlin's compiler optimisation techniques and why @jetbrains did choose some features over others to improve our everyday developer experience. #Kotlin #JetBrains #SoftwareDevelopment https://t.co/iWEr7u7ndR

Compiling a lot of code fast is a hard problem, especially when the compiler has to perform complex analyses such as overload resolution and type inference with generics. In this post, I’ll tell you a

(1/4) ... it's the same old story over and over again. A team comes up with an idea and spends several months with building a minimum viable product (MVP) and discussing which features should go in or are being kept in the backlog for the full, mature, stable product.

🔔 A friendly #ITSEC reminder: Updating your software packages frequently can save lives. The hackers who carried out this ransomware attack leveraged a highly critical security hole in #Citrix for which a fix has been available for over six months! https://t.co/cczf0WhSkq

🚨 As #QRcodes are currently having their second momentum, just a friendly reminder: A QR code is just like a regular internet link; you shouldn’t click on it if you don’t know its origin. Do not scan QR codes from companies, or even individuals, that you do not know and trust!

(1/2) Simplicity in code is not a contribution to the future! We don't do it because we're assuming a future opportunity for code-reuse, or because we want it to look prettier at a code review, or because we want to make it simpler to modify. #ThoughtsOnProgramming #CleanCode
